Guns and Roses

Today is a floppy hat kind of day.  I thought this tie dye top would go perfectly with my hat. It has such an intricate design and reminds me of the 1970's.  I'm wearing basic denim jeans, rolled up at the ankles.  I love these wedges because of the black diamond detail around the bottom.  I went with a black leather purse with large ruffle detail to complete the look.  I'm feeling very bohemian today.

Brazen Bouquet

This top reminds me of a Monet floral painting.  I love how the colors are blended into each other.  I paired it with these fitted short-cut pants.  These pants are like jeans because I can pair them with any color top.  I wanted a bit of height but I also wanted to be comfortable, so I went with these coral wedges.  I completed the look with a matching coral clutch with gold chain detail.

Babydoll Diaries

Nothing is more girly than a babydoll dress.  This one is extra flirty due to the peek-a-boo back.  The dress didn't come with the belt (I actually took it from another dress), but the belt just seems to complete the look.  I went with black suede heels with wide straps.  I love the way bright colors stand out against black and white prints, so I chose this lime clutch.  I finished the look with silver jewelry.

Jolie Jumper

I warned you guys that you would be seeing me wear a lot of jumpsuits because I am in a jumper phase right...well, here's another one.  I saw this jumper featured on Instagram and I just had to get it.  It is so comfortable and the material is very soft.  The way the top is made, it appears as if it is a two-piece from certain angles.  I love the criss cross back.  The back is low, so I wore a white bandeau top underneath.  I chose these ivory heels with gold detail because they are similar, in tone, to the jumper.  To shake things up a bit and to add a pop of color, I went with this bright red clutch with zipper detail.

Lady Liberty

I bought this skirt last year to wear to Coachella but I wasn't able to wear it because it was too long to wear with flats and ain't nobody in their right mind wearing heels to Coachella.  The high slits on the sides give plenty of sex appeal and make the skirt perfect summer wear.  The color of the skirt is a subtle seafoam green.  The color and the folds remind me of the Statue of Liberty.  To accentuate the black band around the waist, I wore a black off-the-shoulder crop top.  Ladies, don't be afraid to wear black in the summertime.  It's a color that can be worn all year long.  I went with these flirty, yet classy two toned heels.  They give me just the right amount of height for the length of the skirt.  And you can never go wrong with an over-sized Louis bag!

Rhythm and Rhymes

This asymmetrical, cropped hoodie is so colorful and vibrant.  The print is unique and the shape is very interesting.  I chose to wear it with the hood hanging in the back, but for a different look, it can be worn on the head.  Because the hoodie is such a statement piece, I wanted to keep the rest of the outfit fairly toned down. I paired it with these capri cut jeans and chunky wooden wedges.  The print of the top reminds me of kente cloth, so I though it was only right to wear these gold earrings in the shape of Africa.  I completed the look with a fuschia clutch with wrist strap.

Native Nuances

The pattern on this A-Line maxi dress reminds me of an Aztec design.  Although the primary color is cobalt blue, there are hints of teal and coral as well.  I decided to wear a belt to give the dress more  shape and I chose this coral and brown belt, in particular, because it accentuates the pattern's less prominent colors.  The same goes for the coral clutch with gold clasp and gold chain strap.  I went with a more muted shoe with these grey wooden wedges with a slight metallic finish.

Grey's Anatomy

I've had this dress for quite a while and I have only worn it a couple of times.  It's not very often that I will wear a short dress, but I was feeling fun and flirty today, so I said "Why not?".  The sides and back of the dress are exposed, so I decided to be a little more modest by adding this distressed jean vest with stud detail.  It's not often that I wear these shoes either.  The heel is quite high and every time I put them on, I have this fear that I am going to fall...but they go so well with this dress that I decided to rock them and just be careful with every step.  I grabbed this zebra print clutch with a metallic finish and 3 toned hanging earrings to complete the look.

Blue Jasmine

This crop top is so girly and I especially love the ties on the shoulder.  I am pairing it with a textured, bodycon skirt.  Because the top is short, I went with a skirt that was knee-length, as to not show too much skin.  I wanted to keep my accessories neutral, so I chose this ivory colored clutch with gold chain strap and heels with toe and ankle straps.

Wondrous White

It's jumpsuit time again!  This white jumper with ruffle detail is such a classic look.  It's a little bit more sophisticated than the more casual jumper I wore last Friday.  I added the belt because I felt like the jumper, alone, was missing something.  I think it works well to accentuate my waist and it gives the outfit a focal point.  I initially wanted to wear heels, but the jumper is not that long and when I put the heels on, I felt like I was flooding a bit.  So, I threw on these brown and white flat sandals with a knotted rope detail.  Instead of going with a large handbag, I grabbed this flat satchel with a long strap.  It can be worn on the shoulder or across the body.
